Walk along a rushing river through a dramatic rocky gorge surrounded by beautiful natural bushland. Ride the Gondola, enjoy coffee in the beautiful gardens surrounded by spectacularly coloured Peacocks.
Then we head for the quaint Swiss town of Grindelwald - Steeply pitched tiled roofs, chalets with romantic timber balconies, a steepled church, fresh white walls and a village green all combine to make this little Swiss village a real charmer. The village square has the best bakery and lots of great little shops to explore.
Our drive up the Tamar Valley will continue past Bradys Lookout – Named after the notorious bushranger Matthew Brady, who used this vantage point to sight travellers.
You can visit Sea Horse World - The working farm and aquarium provides a unique insight into the mystical, intriguing and lovable seahorses from birth, in a working farm. With informative guides providing an educational experience, you will be able to see the weedy Sea Dragons, Pipe Fish and the endangered species.
We will also visit the now famous town of Beaconsfield before crossing the Batman Bridge named after John Batman one of the founders of Melbourne. The bridge spans the Tamar River at Whirlpool Reach, and is one of the worlds first cable stayed truss bridges, being a massive 432 metres long.
Lavender Farm - The Bridestowe Estate Lavender Farm established in 1921, is one of the world's largest single commercial lavender farms, producing the finest quality lavender flowers and lavender oil, used traditionally in the perfumery industry. The farm consists of 120 acres (48 hectares) of rolling fields of lavender and is considered one of Tasmania's most spectacular sights during flowering in December and January and hopefully February.
