Wednesday 14 February, 2007 St Valentines Day
ST HELENS – COLES BAY
It is Valentines Day and our love affair with our MINI’s continues. Drive through Scamander via St Marys and Elephant Pass (home to the famous Pancake Parlour) and to make sure we don’t miss anything we take the alternative coastal route back up the sweeping coast to Falmouth before retracing back down the coast to enjoy the amazing ocean panoramas from the opposite direction.
Next stop on our itinerary and just north of the Freycinet Peninsula is Bicheno. Sand, surf, sea and sun epitomise Bicheno, a pretty fishing town founded on the sea and its bounty. Nearby there’s the East Coast Nature World with guaranteed viewing of Tasmanian Devils, Tiger Snakes, Koalas, Wombats, and much other native wildlife
We then move onto our next stop for 2 nights at Coles Bay in the Iluka Holiday Centre where we have our Cosy Cabins waiting for us. We have arranged a special dinner tonight to celebrate Valentine’s Day and we have a real treat in store for everyone tonight.
